Hewden Biggin Hill Tandem Crane Lift
Hewden has hired two operated 100-tonne mobile cranes, five 80-foot mobile access platforms and a 13-metre telehandler to structural steel contractors, REIDSteel to erect the main, 90 metre clear span trusses for the new hangar at historic Biggin Hill Airport. Working for main contractor, Civils Contracting Ltd, the 5-month long project, which began in January 2009, will see REIDSteel constructing a stylish new aircraft hangar to house jets for private charter.
